Heejung Kim @ Newton Open Studios

Our friend Heejung Kim, who participated in the Pop Art Gallery @ ECC a few months ago, is showing her recent work at Newton Open Studio this Saturday and Sunday [Nov 5-6]. She is among the artists whose work were juried and selected as the creme de la creme for the annual event. For more information, you may check out the official site.

The work shown below was also the first artwork at the event that was sold already even before the curtain was raised. So, you have only two afternoons(!) to see it before it is off to a private collection.

Her art, occasionally presented at ECC and around town, had been more focused on the conceptual/video performance art, but more recently, she is revisiting her origin as the painter with more traditional medium.
