Arneis Quartet - Haydn, List, Beethoven to benefit local shelter work [April 4 7:30 PM]
The Arneis String Quartet, the 2012 silver medalist of the ICMEC, will perform works by Haydn, Andrew List and Beethoven at the Oasis Cafe's first concert of the spring. Come and usher in spring with the warm and exciting music of the Arneis Quartet whose members (Heather Braun, violin; Rose Drucker, violin; Daniel Dona, viola; Agnes Kim, cello. ) have strong ties to Boston University (BU) as graduates, faculty member and student of its faculty. Featured guest performer Michelle LaCourse (viola) also teaches at BU. The program includes Berklee College of Music professor Andrew List's String Quartet No. 4 as well as Haydn's String Quartet in D major, Op. 76 No. 5 and Beethoven's String Quintet in C major, Op. 29.
Although Oasis Cafe Music Night is a free on-going series at the ECC (Education & Community Center) at the Korean Church of Boston (KCB), your donations at this benefit concert by the Arneis Quartet will go toward the Boston / Brookline Shelter Support Program run by the young adult volunteers at KCB (Every early Saturday morning, these volunteers go out into the streets of Boston to provide free meals for the homeless folks and also help serve hot meals at local shelters in frigid winter days).
